Cort’s natural-gloss myrtle wooed boutique fans, but touring players begged for darker stage aesthetics that forgave beer-glass fingerprints. A UV-cured gloss (≈ 110 µm after level-sand) refracts light through myrtle’s chatoyance yet adds only minimal mass—less than many import polys—preserving top agility.
